Successful Radio Content Production Session Hosted by Kenya National Commission for UNESCO and Rongo University

From January 25th to 27th, 2020, the Kenya National Commission for UNESCO, in partnership with the UNESCO Chair on Community Radio for Agricultural Education at Rongo University, hosted a highly successful radio content production session. This event brought together top producers and studio engineers from leading community radio stations in Migori, Homa-Bay, and Kisii Counties.

Objectives and Goals

The primary aim of the event was to refine, polish, and produce draft adverts created during an earlier workshop in November 2020. This project serves as a strategic intervention to address the negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on society.

The theme of the event was “Tackling the COVID-19 Pandemic Through a Responsive Media,” emphasizing the crucial role of media in combating the pandemic’s challenges.
